Life Drawing

The first 4 images were quick 10 minute sketches, focusing mainly on shading and showing different textures and materials. The last image is still focused on shading and textures but took 30 minutes.

More life drawing
30 minute sketch using multiple colours, with various different shades of colour used to add definition and shading. Cool colours used for the model with brighter, hotter colours used for the rope.
Above are two sequences of quick poses. The first sequence was done in a light yellow in order to give it a calm feel, the second sequence is done in red to give it an angry feel.
Move boards for my character.
First move board is ideas and styles for my characters appearance. The left of the move is smart, professional clothing which would be worn day to day when the character is at his home, the right side is clothing and equipment which would be worn while exploring/working.
The first environment move board is based around the environment in which my character grew up and currently lives. Essentially it's a large country house which has become more dilapidated over the years.
The second move board is basic ideas of the environment in which he spends most of his time now. They are all quite remote and harsh environments.
A few reference images taken at The Collection in Lincoln. Many of these will used in some way as part of my environment design.

Here are two sequences of sketches,  with two minutes given to draw each pose. The lines across both sequences were used in order to get each pose roughly the same size.

A basic perspective drawing including three figures, all drawn to the same scale.
45 minute sketch of the corner of the room, the model sat on a chair with a bench and a close up view of his head and hand projected onto the wall with some shading.

Here is a fairly simple photo manipulation which I created using the two images above, both found on Google.
I have included two versions of the manipulated image, the first image is much brighter, set during the day while the second version has been edited to fit more of an evening time setting.

Custom cloud brush which I created on Photoshop and a basic image created using it.
Very simply done using a gradient background and layers of the cloud brush in slightly different tones in order to make the cloud contrast to the background and imitate the light source above.

Here are some 5 minute sketches from the first session of life drawing. The proportions of the model in the first images are all fairly good, especially the top halves of the body in each drawing.

And a 30 minute sketch with some shading, again from the first session. I am happy with most of this picture, other than the lower legs which are slightly out of proportion.
